Threats on the tropical rainforest and animals

Introduction

The tropical rainforests are the habitat of many plant and animal species. More than half of all known plants and animals are to be found in these tropical forests in Africa, Asia and Latin America.

A  magazine, named "Natural Environment" wants to publish an article about animals in the rainforests. Especially the endangered animals should be given full attention. Moreover  the magazine wants to give advices to organizations who are concerned about the rainforest and endangered animals in these rainforests.

The Philippines is perhaps one of the ten most biologically diverse countries in the world and the habitat of countless species of animals and plants. That's the reason why the magazine wants to pay special attention to some of the plants and  some of the animal species in the tropical rainforest in the Philippines.

Your class is asked to help the journalists of the magazine by collecting information.

You are asked to find out more about the rainforest, the threats of the forest and threats of  the animals in the forests.
