Ed
de Schoolmeester is working as a staff member at the Faculty of
Education, one of the largest teacher training institutes in the
Netherlands with approximately 5000 students. The faculty is part of the
Hogeschool Utrecht, a large university of higher professional
education.
As
a teacher of geography at the Department of Secondary Education, one of
the three departments of the Faculty of Education, Ed de Schoolmeester
is specialized in geography of developing countries. The
Philippines has his special interest. |

Why a website about the
Philippines?
The Philippines is a good
example of a developing country in Asia and offers students a lot of
information about themes, which are typical for an Asian 'developing
country'. Moreover, South East Asia is attractive to explore
because of its colourful people and splendid nature. The Philippines has
